Indonesian government is ready to receive visits President of the United States of Obama : Special Staff of the President of the International Relations Division, Teuku Faizasyah, said that until yesterday the planned visit by U.S. President Barack Obama was still in line with the original schedule, arriving tomorrow afternoon and come home day after day. Obama has twice canceled his visit to Indonesia, where he spent most of his childhood. First, last March, when he was fighting for Health Reform Act in the U.S. parliament. Second, last June, when the British company owned oil wells in the Gulf of Mexico is leaking.

The eruption of Mount Merapi, which spread ash to several cities in Indonesia, raising speculation that Obama could have gone back to cancel visit to Indonesia. According Faizasyah, on 9 November, Obama will initiate activities to attend the welcome ceremony at Merdeka Palace. Obama also will attend a bilateral meeting with the American Indonesian government. After that, Obama will hold a conference with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

On the second day, Obama will visit Kalibata Hero Cemetery and the Istiqlal Mosque. Obama also will speak at the University of Indonesia with the theme of Indonesia-United States partnership, democracy, development, pluralism, tolerance, and American relations with the Muslim country.

Yesterday hundreds of people were busy preparing for the implementation of Obama's speech at the Hall of the University of Indonesia. They set up a sound system, chairs, and the security barricade at the building that can accommodate 15 thousand people.

Head of the Secretariat of the Executive Board in Indonesia, Devie Rahmawati, says that although there have been preparations, until yesterday there is no certainty that Obama will be visiting the University of Indonesia. "If Obama to Indonesia, he planned to be the UI," said Devie.
