Berita Lampung Jordanian government offered assistance to repatriate hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists are currently detained by Israel following the attack on the fleet of aid to Gaza, Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

According to the Indonesian ambassador in Amman, Jordan, Zainulbahar Noor, the embassy has prepared people to pick up an Indonesian citizen. However, still need to wait and follow the procedures of the Jordanian government about the manner of pick-up when Jordan managed to evacuate the volunteers.

At least seven countries, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Morocco, Algeria, and Pakistan, asked Jordan to help repatriate their own citizens.


According to the Jordanian Interior Minister for Media Affairs, Nabil Sharif, their citizens, including the 600 people from 32 countries who are in humanitarian convoys into Gaza boats.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with all countries that their citizens were arrested in Israel to ensure the evacuation of their citizens to Jordan, to continue treatment for the injured in Jordan, and organize their return," Sharif added.

Sharif said the government has received assurances that all 24 residents of Jordan who took part in humanitarian missions are in good condition. A total of 17 Kuwaiti nationals, including five women, also participated in the convoy and detained in Israel. While the 12 Indonesian nationals were also detained by Israel.

Zainulbahar Ambassador stated that one citizen was injured. However, citizen identity is still unclear. Based on information from the head of the ICRC in Tel Aviv, Pascal Hundt, who presented at the Ambassador Zainulbahar, the victim suffered wounds citizen named Gamarko.
