Count down Clock set ticking at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Miss Universe 2010 : As the count down clock has started ticking at the ‘Madalay Bay Resort and Casino’ in Las Vegas Nevada, for hosting the gala event of the Miss Universe 2010 pageant, all hearts are skipping a beat due to the mounting excitement to see the ultimate winner of the coveted title this year!

Amongst a total of 84 contestants, there are about 190 countries from where these participating Beauty Queens are to contest for the crown! The judges for the event are Cris Angel, the gold medalist Evan Lysacek, Chynna Phillips, actress Jane Seymour. The evening is to be livened up by the hosts -poison star performer Bret Michaels and NBC correspondent Natalie Morales

The contestants are to be judged in the same format of the earlier years- like the first part will have 15 semi- finalists selected according to the swim wear round, the second round will be the evening gown round and the third round will be the interviews.

The 15 semi- finalists will be then be slimmed down to 10 contestants, who will then be judged according to the highest tallied score, and then the final 5 will be thus chosen.

The final round of the top three will ensue after the final question answer round is over, and the winner of the crown will be eventually crowned by the 2009 winner, Venezuelan Stefania Fernandez, who will then slip her crown on to the winner!

During the swim wear round, performances by Viva Elvis by Cirque Du solell will enthrall the arena, and during the evening gown round John Legend and the Roots will perform to add zing to the electrically charged environs of the mega- event!, Amongst the favorites, there is a charming list of young ladies already popular by the online voting by the official website of the pageant.

Miss Philippines 2010 Venus Raj with the highest ratings of 3.61 out of a total of 5, there is Miss USA; Rima Fakih with a score of 2.57, Miss India Ushoshi Sengupta too is a hot favourite! The final contestants Monday night were: 21-year-old Miss Puerto Rico Mariana Paola Vicente, 23-year-old Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska, 22-year-old Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete, 19-year-old Miss Belgium Cilou Annys, 20-year-old Miss Ireland Rozanna Purcell and 22-year-old Miss South Africa Nicole Flint.

Also chosen were 23-year-old Miss France Malika Menard, 19-year-old Miss Australia Jesinta Campbell, 24-year-old Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps, 18-year-old Miss Russia Irina Antonenko, 24-year-old Miss Albania Angela Martini, 23-year-old Miss Colombia Natalia Navarro, 20-year-old Miss Guatemala Jessica Scheel, 18-year-old Miss Czech Republic Jitka Valkova and 22-year-old Miss Philippines Venus Raj, 22.
