Liquefied petroleum gas prices rise next year

Price increase of non-subsidized LPG certainly will not continue until the end of this year. The price of non-subsidized LPG bottled 6 kg, 12 kg, 50 kg of new and will be raised again next year.

This was conveyed by Pertamina President Director Karen Agustiawan Company in a press conference on Friday (16/10) in the lobby of the Building Department of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jakarta. The event was also attended by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro and their staffs.

According to Karen, Pertamina has recently increased the price of LPG Rp 100 per kilogram. So, for non-subsidized LPG 12 kg pack, the price increase of Rp 1,200 per tube. "This price rise is more expensive than the price of a pack of cigarettes," he said.

For the future, the government will monitor the price fluctuations in the market develops. If the price of LPG in the international market falls, the price will be lowered. However, when the LPG price rises, Pertamina will raise the price gradually. "But not this year, probably next year," said Karen.
